Great Golf & Fine Dining in Traditional Andalucia
Cadiz was founded by the Phoenicians 3000 years ago, making it the oldest city in Western Europe. Since then it has been a Roman Port, was occupied by the Visigoths and Moors, was a jumping off point for Christopher Columbus for his voyages of discovery across the Atlantic and held out against a siege by Napoleon.
Sights include some of the city's remaining walls, its old quarter, the red-brick Gran Teatro Falla, neoclassical town hall and its cathedral. Cadiz also has some of Spain's best beaches.
As well as these interesting and historical aspects, Cadiz offers some superb hotels and some fantastic golf courses.

Montecastillo Golf was home of the Volvo Masters from 1997 to 2001 and is considered to be one of the best courses in Europe. A tough and testing course, there are some long, spectacular holes.
Now 27 holes,
Costa Ballena is a lovely course that stretches out partly along the coast, it is fairly flat yet still a challenging layout, with water coming into play on a number of holes.
El Puerto Golf, located close to El Puerto, is ideal for all levels of player. An attractive course with the main feature being its well protected and fast greens.
Sherry Golf, just outside Jerez, offers large greens and wide undulating fairways. This American style course is one of the best in Cadiz.
